Russian authorities reported that at least seven individuals, including three children, lost their lives, and around 40 others were injured when a drone struck a busy beach in the country’s southwest.
The incident occurred in a popular coastal area, often visited by vacationers. However, it remains uncertain whether the drone exploded upon impact or was intercepted before reaching its intended target.
Reports suggest the drone might have been aimed at a Russian naval facility situated about 40 kilometers (25 miles) from the beach. Ukrainian authorities had not yet commented on the incident at the time of reporting.
This attack highlights how the conflict is increasingly affecting regions once considered safe from direct confrontations.

Additionally, Russian officials reported a suspected Ukrainian drone strike on a warehouse owned by Wildberries, Russia’s largest online retailer, approximately 180 kilometers (112 miles) east of Moscow.
These drone incidents followed Russian missile strikes on Kyiv, Ukraine’s capital, where local officials reported at least nine fatalities on Saturday.
These developments emphasize the escalating conflict, with both Russia and Ukraine experiencing attacks on civilian and strategic targets as tensions rise.
