Akande said the prospective corps members had boarded a commercial transport bus in the Sango area of Ibadan for the journey to Abia State.
She explained that the passengers stopped in Onitsha at about 10 p.m. on Wednesday before continuing their journey on Thursday morning.
According to her, her daughter managed to send a brief message saying “kidnappers!”, indicating that the vehicle had allegedly been attacked.
