Nigeria’s Nollywood industry has been thrown into mourning following the death of actor Chijioke “Cjay” Nwokafor.
Actress Nkechi Blessing Sunday announced the actor’s death on Instagram on Wednesday, sharing videos and memories of herself with the late actor.
Blessing did not disclose the cause of Nwokafor’s death.
The actress also announced the postponement of the release of her movie, Egusi Ogbono, in honour of the deceased actor, who featured in the film.
The movie had initially been scheduled for release at 5 p.m. on Wednesday.
However, Blessing said she cancelled the release after a hospital confirmed Nwokafor’s death.
