The House of Representatives has declared the appointment letter claimed by Adeyemi, who asserts himself as the Director-General of the Presidential Fiscal and Investment Promotion Council (PFIPC), to be fraudulent.

This conclusion was reached after a thorough investigation by the relevant House committee tasked with examining the establishment of the agency and verifying the authenticity of its leadership documents.

Lawmakers determined that Adeyemi’s appointment letter was unverifiable and lacked the official endorsement necessary for a legitimate presidential appointment.

Questions have also been raised about the legal standing of the agency and the legitimacy of Adeyemi’s claim to the Director-General position, suggesting potential misrepresentation.

This development occurs in the midst of an ongoing inquiry by the House of Representatives into the PFIPC’s operations. Legislators are trying to ascertain whether the agency was legally established and whether public officials complied with legal standards.

House members emphasized the importance of safeguarding the integrity of public institutions. They warned that anyone caught forging documents or falsely claiming a government role would be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law.

The investigation will continue as the House gathers more evidence and hears testimonies from relevant government agencies and officials involved in this case.

As lawmakers work to resolve this issue, further decisions are anticipated to establish the appropriate legal and administrative actions resulting from the investigation.
