The Lagos State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has released the structure of its campaign council ahead of the 2027 general elections.
The list includes Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu and former Lagos governors Babatunde Fashola and Akinwunmi Ambode.
The structure was made public on Thursday through the Kadri Obafemi Hamzat Media Centre.
Olusi Heads Governance Advisory Council
According to the released structure, Prince Tajudeen Olusi will serve as Chairman of the Governance Advisory Council.
Sanwo-Olu is listed as Chairman of the Advisory Council, while former governors Fashola and Ambode will serve as Co-Chairmen.
Other figures listed in the advisory structure include Femi Gbajabiamila, Chief of Staff to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu; Mudashiru Obasa, Speaker of the Lagos State House of Assembly; and former Minister of Health Adeleke Mamora.
Sanwo-Olu to Lead Campaign Council
At the main campaign council level, Sanwo-Olu is listed as Chairman.
Deputy Governor Kadri Obafemi Hamzat will serve as Deputy Chairman.
The three vice-chairmanship positions are assigned to Cornelius Ojelabi, Mudashiru Obasa and Damilola Sonayon James.
They will serve as Vice Chairmen I, II and III respectively.
Former Senator Musiliu Obanikoro is listed as Director-General of the campaign council.
Rasaq Ajala will serve as Deputy Director-General, while Adekunle Olayinka is named Campaign Secretary.
Council Includes Several Directorates
The campaign structure contains various directorates and sub-committees.
Their areas of responsibility include legal and compliance, party and inter-party affairs, administration and logistics, traditional institutions, diaspora engagement and residents’ associations.
The structure also provides for grassroots coordination across local government areas and Local Council Development Areas in Lagos.
Inauguration Set for Friday
The formal inauguration of the campaign council is scheduled for Friday, September 18, 2026.
The event is expected to take place at the APC Secretariat on ACME Road, Ikeja, Lagos.
The council is part of the Lagos APC’s organisational preparations for the 2027 general elections.
