Osun State Governor, Ademola Adeleke, has voiced confidence in his ability to win the governorship election, even when up against an opposition party supported by 34 governors.
Adeleke mentioned this in a post on his official social media page.
The governor referred to himself as a “bulldozer,” expressing that he was unconcerned about the number of governors backing the opposition party.
“I am not concerned about running against a party with 34 governors; I consider myself a bulldozer,” Adeleke wrote.
He mentioned that the governors backing the opposition candidate would not have voting rights in Osun State.
“If they wish, they can bring all their governors; they’re all my friends. However, it’s important to note that the governors won’t be voting here—they can only support their party,” he remarked.
Adeleke also conveyed gratitude to President Bola Tinubu for his intervention following the recent freezing of Osun State Government’s account by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).
“I am grateful for the President’s call during the recent EFCC freeze order on the state government’s account,” he stated.
The governor mentioned that Tinubu had assured him about the way the election would be conducted.
Adeleke mentioned, “President Tinubu assured me of a free and fair election.”
