Canadian music superstar Céline Dion has arrived in Paris, roughly two weeks before the start of her highly anticipated concert residency, drawing a warm welcome from fans gathered outside her hotel.
A crowd of admirers assembled outside the Royal Monceau, where the 58-year-old singer is staying during her time in the French capital.
Fans who saw Dion described her as “in better shape,” “relaxed” and “as beautiful as ever,” with several expressing excitement at seeing the global superstar in person.
Dion waved to the crowd, blew kisses and briefly stopped to greet fans and reporters. She told journalists that she felt supported and described Paris as her “second home.”
When asked which song she would use to open the concerts, however, Dion kept the details secret.
Major Concert Comeback
The Paris residency marks Dion’s return to a major concert run after she cancelled her Courage World Tour following her diagnosis with stiff-person syndrome, a rare neurological disorder that she publicly disclosed in 2022.
The condition forced the singer to step back from touring while she focused on her health and recovery.
Her upcoming performances will take place at the Plenitude Arena in Nanterre, west of Paris. The venue, formerly known as Paris La Défense Arena, can accommodate up to 40,000 spectators.
Dion last performed in Paris in 2024 when she made a surprise and highly emotional return to the stage during the opening ceremony of the Paris Olympics, where she performed “Hymne à l’amour.”
2026–2027 Paris Residency
The upcoming residency will feature 16 performances during September and October 2026, followed by another 10 concerts scheduled for May 2027.
The return has generated significant excitement among Dion’s international fan base, marking another major chapter in the singer’s celebrated career.
With her arrival in Paris already attracting crowds of devoted fans, anticipation is building for the first performance of what is expected to be one of the city’s major music events.
