The Independent National Electoral Commission has released its final list of presidential candidates for the 2027 general elections.
The list contains candidates from 18 political parties.
President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, former Vice President Atiku Abubakar, former Anambra State Governor Peter Obi and Oyo State Governor Seyi Makinde are among those listed.
INEC Secretary Rose Oriaran-Anthony signed the document on Saturday.
Tinubu to Contest Under APC
President Bola Ahmed Tinubu is listed as the presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress.
Vice President Kashim Shettima is his running mate.
Tinubu is seeking another term in office under the APC.
Atiku, Amaechi on ADC Ticket
Former Vice President Atiku Abubakar is listed as the candidate of the African Democratic Congress.
Former Rivers State Governor Rotimi Amaechi is his running mate.
The pair will contest the 2027 presidential election on the ADC platform.
Peter Obi Joins the Race
Former Anambra State Governor Peter Obi is also on the INEC list.
Obi is listed as the presidential candidate of the Nigeria Democratic Congress.
Former Kano State Governor Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso is named as his running mate.
Makinde and Other Candidates
Oyo State Governor Seyi Makinde is also listed among the presidential candidates.
He is contesting under the Allied Peoples Movement.
Musa Lawal Daura is listed as his running mate.
Other candidates include:
- Sunday Chibuzo Okereke of the Labour Party, with Hajja Bintu Konto.
- Sandy Ojang Onor of the Peoples Democratic Party, with Umaru Babangida.
- Rufai Adekunle Omo-Aje of the Action Alliance, with Shehu Hussaini.
- Aliyu Abbas-Bin of the Action Democratic Party, with Chinazam Ike.
- Kabiru Yusuf of the Action Peoples Party, with Peace Egobia Ofordile.
- Omoyele Sowore of the African Action Congress, with Haruna Garba Magashi.
- Sunday Adenuga of the Boot Party, with Usman Turaki Mustapha.
More Candidates on the List
INEC also listed several other presidential candidates.
They include Moses Olusoji Adebisi of the Democratic Labour Alliance.
Nafisat Usaku Abubakar is his running mate.
Ada Elizabeth Fredrick Okwori is the National Democratic Party candidate.
She is paired with Uchenna Anthony Chukwuemeka.
Nkem Esther Okereke is contesting for the National Rescue Movement.
Her running mate is Nasir Muhammed Sulaiman.
Former Cross River State Governor Donald Duke is the candidate of the Peoples Redemption Party.
Kabiru Rabiu is his running mate.
Adewole Ebenezer Adebayo is contesting under the Social Democratic Party.
Usman Muhammed Bugaje is his running mate.
Peter Ada Agada is the Young Progressives Party candidate.
Patience Ndidi Key is his running mate.
Daniel Daberechukwu Nwanyanwu is representing the Zenith Labour Party.
Hassan Khalid is listed as his running mate.
Three Parties Have No Presidential Candidate
According to the INEC document, three political parties did not present presidential candidates.
They are:
- Accord
- All Progressives Grand Alliance
- Youth Party
INEC Lists FCT Candidates
The document also contains candidates for National Assembly elections in the Federal Capital Territory.
Eighteen political parties have candidates for the FCT senatorial seat.
Meanwhile, 38 candidates are listed for the two House of Representatives seats.
The release of the list gives voters a clearer picture of the presidential race ahead of the 2027 general elections.
