Seriake Dickson, the National Chairman of the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC), has voiced strong confidence that the party will successfully navigate the challenges posed by the federal government in the upcoming 2027 general elections.
The former governor of Bayelsa State emphasized the NDC’s commitment to ensuring a peaceful electoral process, asserting that voters must not endure intimidation, violence, or the misuse of security forces during the elections.
In a recent post on X, Dickson reassured supporters that every legitimate vote would be safeguarded and counted. He vowed to oppose any attempts to manipulate the democratic process through threats, bribery, or coercion.
He called on Nigerians to stay united and vigilant, affirming that the NDC would continue to resist any form of oppression designed to undermine the people’s mandate.
Dickson also reflected on past elections, claiming that the party had successfully triumphed over the ruling establishment’s influence, expressing confidence that history would repeat itself in 2027 under his leadership.
The NDC is anticipated to nominate Peter Obi as its presidential candidate for the upcoming elections.
