Ladipo Johnson, spokesperson for former Kano State Governor Rabiu Kwankwaso, has revealed that Peter Obi is unhappy with the internal discord currently impacting the OK Movement.
In an interview on Arise Television, Johnson acknowledged that the movement is facing leadership tensions but emphasized that this issue is merely a temporary distraction and not a significant threat to its political mission.
He noted that the dispute has shifted focus away from the group’s primary goal of strengthening its support base nationwide ahead of the 2027 general elections. Johnson explained that the disagreement stems from differences between some members and the movement’s leadership, warning against actions that could create divisions among supporters of the proposed Obi-Kwankwaso alliance.
According to Johnson, allowing the crisis to escalate could jeopardize efforts to establish a credible political alternative before the next presidential election.
He also disclosed that Peter Obi has been informed about the situation and is dissatisfied with the ongoing conflict. Johnson mentioned that he met with Obi and the campaign’s Director-General the previous night, indicating that the presidential candidate expressed concern over the discord and does not endorse any actions that might foster resentment within his support base or weaken the movement’s unity.
