The daughters of veteran Yoruba actor Taiwo Hassan, known as Ogogo, have made a heartfelt plea for urgent medical assistance for their father, who is reportedly battling stage-four cancer.
Lima and Kira Taiwo took to Instagram on Monday to make separate emotional appeals, reaching out to Nigerians, well-wishers, and medical professionals experienced in cancer treatment to offer support for their father.
In a poignant video, Lima expressed that her father’s condition has worsened and mentioned that hospitals have declined further treatment for him.
She called upon anyone with connections to hospitals or cancer specialists willing to handle her father’s case to reach out to the family.
“I’m pleading with you. If you know someone who might be willing to treat him, we’re open to trying anything.”
Lima emphasized that the family is seeking medical assistance rather than financial aid and is in need of professionals who could provide help.
She mentioned that they only became fully aware of the seriousness of Ogogo’s condition about three weeks ago, noting that initially, his appearance did not reveal how critical his illness was.
The poignant appeal concluded with Lima imploring for assistance, expressing her anguish at the thought of losing her father.
“I can’t watch my daddy die. I just can’t. Please, I’m begging you.”
The family’s message reflects their current appeal for treatment. The claim that hospitals have “refused to treat” the actor has not been independently verified based on the information available.
