Hakeem Baba-Ahmed, the National Chairman of the People’s Redemption Party (PRP), has alleged that President Bola Tinubu is transferring rights from the North to the South-West unchallenged. He claims this situation arises because northern leaders have allied themselves with the President.
During an interview on Symfoni TV, Baba-Ahmed highlighted the persistent violence and killings occurring across several northern states. He criticized the 18 northern governors who support the President, cautioning that their loyalty to Tinubu is detrimental to the region.
Tinubu is redirecting resources from the North to the South-West without facing any opposition. Those who should be resisting him have aligned themselves with his camp, leaving no one to challenge him or point out how his actions may be detrimental to the North. Meanwhile, violence in the region appears relentless, occurring on a near-daily basis.
Among the 32 governors in the All Progressives Congress (APC), 18 hail from the North, and only one governor—the Bauchi State governor—is not affiliated with the APC. “Who is willing to confront Tinubu and inform him that there’s an issue within their own region? They wouldn’t dare,” he expressed with concern.
