More than a hundred potential voters, reportedly transported by an Accord Party member prior to the gubernatorial election in Osun State, have been taken into custody.
The voters, holding new Permanent Voter Cards (PVCs), had assembled at the residence of Hon Abiola Ibrahim before the election.
A viral video circulating on social media depicts security officials interrogating individuals who are alleged to be imported voters.
During questioning, Abiola Ibrahim confessed to hosting the large group at his home in order to support the Accord Party in the ongoing election.
Ibrahim is said to serve as a representative for the Irewole-Isokan Constituency in the Osun State House of Assembly.
Efforts to obtain an immediate comment from the Osun State Police Command were unsuccessful at the time of reporting.
