On Monday, Peter Obi, the presidential candidate of the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC), and his running mate Rabi’u Kwankwaso held a meeting with several of the party’s governorship candidates.
This information is included in a statement shared on the party’s verified X account on Monday.
The announcement indicated that the party leaders deliberated on strategies in preparation for the 2027 general elections.
In their statement, the leaders evaluated election preparedness and highlighted the importance of coordinated campaigns aimed at securing victory for candidates across all levels.
It noted that the high-level meeting was attended by the NDC governorship candidates from Bauchi State, Ibrahim Kashim; Sokoto State, Shamsu Aliyu; and Borno State, Sunusi Kashim Ibrahim.
Also attending the meeting were Buba Galadima, NDC State Chairmen Alhaji Mustapha Umar of Kebbi and Alhaji Bello Sani Yabo of Sokoto, along with other leaders.
