African Democratic Congress (ADC) presidential candidate Atiku Abubakar has arrived in Sokoto State ahead of the party’s presidential campaign flag-off scheduled for Wednesday.
Atiku arrived at Sultan Abubakar III International Airport at about 1pm, accompanied by members of his campaign team.
The campaign event is scheduled to take place at the ADC state secretariat along Ilorin Road.
Party Leaders Welcome Atiku
The former Vice-President was received at the airport by his running mate, Rotimi Amaechi; former Sokoto State Governor Aminu Tambuwal; former minister and Kebbi State governorship candidate Abubakar Malami; Manir Dan’Iya; and other party leaders.
Thousands of ADC supporters reportedly gathered at the party secretariat and along adjoining roads to welcome Atiku and participate in the campaign event.
The flag-off marks a key campaign activity for the ADC as it prepares to engage voters ahead of the presidential election.
