During a precise airstrike in Dumba, Borno State, the Air Component of Operation HADIN KAI (OPHK) successfully neutralized nine suspected terrorists and destroyed three carts believed to be transporting weapons and supplies.
Security expert Zagazola Makama shared on social media platform X that the operation took place on Saturday, August 8, following credible intelligence regarding terrorist activities in the Dumba area.
According to Zagazola, the mission included armed reconnaissance and air interdiction. He reported that after obtaining intelligence about possible terrorist activity, the aircraft reached Dumba at approximately 2:58 p.m.
He explained that when the aircraft arrived at the target area, it identified a group of three individuals suspected to be terrorists walking along a road, and another group of six people pushing three carts thought to be carrying weapons and other supplies.
Rather than engaging right away, the aircraft maintained surveillance and monitored the terrorists’ movements until both groups converged and halted at a location in the bush.
