Troops of Sector 2, Operation FANSAN YAMMA, have rescued traders abducted by terrorists in Katsina State.
The troops also recovered a stolen Toyota Corolla and arrested two suspects in a separate operation.
Traders Rescued Along Funtua–Faskari Route

The rescue operation followed a distress call about the abduction of traders along the Funtua–Faskari axis.
According to the security operation, terrorists intercepted a commercial vehicle carrying the traders.
The attackers then forced the passengers into a nearby bush.
Troops quickly moved to the area after receiving the alert.
They pursued the terrorists and engaged them in a firefight.
The attackers eventually retreated into the forest.
They also abandoned the kidnapped traders as they fled.
The victims were rescued unharmed and escorted to Sheme Market, where they reunited with members of their communities.
Troops Recover Stolen Toyota Corolla

In a separate operation, troops deployed in Dutsin-Ma Local Government Area intercepted a stolen gold-coloured Toyota Corolla.
The operation took place along the Katsina–Dutsin-Ma highway.
The troops acted on credible intelligence and worked with the Nigeria Police Force to stop the vehicle.
Two suspects were arrested at the scene.
They were identified as 28-year-old Abdulmalik Haruna and 44-year-old Mohammed Kabir.
The suspects and the recovered vehicle were later handed over to the police at the Dutsin-Ma Division.
The police are expected to continue the investigation and take further legal action.
