Burna Boy Returns to Stade de France

The performance will bring Burna Boy back to the same stadium where he made history in April 2025.

He became the first African artist to headline a solo concert at the Stade de France.

The singer said returning to the venue for the NFL event would be particularly meaningful.

He added that the NFL was bringing something new to France and that he would be representing African music on the international stage.

NFL Expands Global Reach

Burna Boy’s appearance is part of a record seven halftime shows planned for the NFL’s 2026 International Games.

The performances will span seven countries and four continents as the league expands its international programme.

Other announced performers include Ayra Starr at the London Game, Pedro Sampaio and Ricky Martin in Rio de Janeiro, Cage The Elephant in Munich and The Warning in Mexico City.

The Jonas Brothers also performed at the Melbourne Game earlier in the international schedule.

The Paris fixture is one of several new international markets for the NFL in 2026.

African Music Takes Centre Stage

Burna Boy’s selection adds a strong African connection to the NFL’s first regular-season game in France.

NFL senior director Tim Tubito said Burna Boy was a fitting choice because of his previous history at the Stade de France and the strong connection between African music and Paris.

The singer has become one of the leading Nigerian artists associated with the international growth of Afrobeats and Afro-fusion.

His return to the Stade de France places that sound at the centre of a major American sporting event making its debut in France.

Performance Details

The NFL said Burna Boy’s full halftime performance will be broadcast live in France on France Télévisions and beIN Sports.

L’Équipe will broadcast the game later that evening.

The NFL has not yet announced the full setlist or whether Burna Boy will be joined by additional performers.

The October 25 game therefore brings together two major international expansions: the NFL’s arrival in France and Burna Boy’s continued presence on major global stages.
