Nigerian music icon Innocent Idibia, popularly known as 2Baba, is set to return to the album scene with Oldest Young Man, his first studio album since 2020.
The forthcoming project is scheduled for release on November 27, 2026, six years after his last studio album, Warriors, which arrived in February 2020.
Announcing the album on social media, 2Baba wrote: “The legacy continues. OLDEST YOUNG MAN drops 27.11.26. Timeless music, no expiration date.”
The announcement has sparked anticipation among fans eager for new music from the award-winning singer, whose career has spanned more than two decades and influenced generations of Nigerian music lovers.
Although he has not released a full-length album since Warriors, 2Baba has remained active through singles and collaborations. His recent releases include Ifesinachi and Mental, featuring Fave, which was released in September 2026.
The singer first teased Oldest Young Man in August 2026, sharing a reflective message about his journey: “I’ve lived it. I’ve seen it. I’m still here. My new album, OLDEST YOUNG MAN, soon come.”
The album announcement also comes amid his ongoing The Baba Experience tour, an eight-city series that began in London in August. He reportedly gave guests an early preview of the project during his 51st birthday listening party in Lagos in September.
In October 2025, 2Baba marked 25 years in the music industry, acknowledging the people who helped shape his career, including his former Plantashun Boiz bandmates.
With Oldest Young Man, the singer is preparing to add another milestone to a career defined by longevity, musical evolution and influence. The full tracklist and featured artistes have yet to be announced.
