Liberian authorities have announced the seizure of a record quantity of cocaine near the capital, Monrovia, in what officials describe as one of the country’s largest anti-narcotics operations to date.
According to law enforcement officials, the illicit drugs were intercepted during a security operation conducted near Monrovia following intelligence-led investigations. Authorities said the seizure represents a major breakthrough in Liberia’s ongoing efforts to combat drug trafficking and organized crime.
Investigators have launched a comprehensive probe to determine the origin of the shipment, identify those behind the trafficking network, and establish the intended destination of the narcotics.
