Ibom Air has added another brand-new Airbus A220-300 to its fleet.
The aircraft arrived at Victor Attah International Airport in Akwa Ibom State.
The arrival marks another major step in the state’s aviation development.

Akpabio Attends Aircraft Arrival
Senate President Godswill Obot Akpabio attended the event.
The Akwa Ibom State Government thanked him for his support.
The government also praised President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for supporting the state’s aviation development.
It also acknowledged the Minister of Aviation and Aerospace Development, Festus Keyamo.
The state government said their support helped Victor Attah International Airport gain international status.
That status could open the airport to more international flight opportunities.
State Invests in Aviation Workers
The aircraft delivery is not the only focus of the state government.
Akwa Ibom is also investing in local aviation professionals.
The state said 14 of Ibom Air’s 30 pilots are Akwa Ibom indigenes.
It also said 16 of the airline’s 40 aircraft engineers are indigenes of the state.
The government trained the pilots and engineers.
More people are also undergoing training.
This investment is aimed at creating more skilled aviation workers from Akwa Ibom.

The Airbus A220-300 adds more capacity to the Ibom Air fleet.
